Artistic Staff

Peggy has been the Artistic Director of her organization since its inception, and has appointed two Artistic Associates to work alongside her: Sahara Morimoto from 2008-2015; and Kate Holden from 2019-2022.

Management

From 1992, Peggy Baker Dance Projects was a client of the Dance Umbrella of Ontario under the leadership of Cathy Levy followed by Myles Warren. In 2002, Peggy left DUO to work with freelance managers Meredith Potter and Nova Bhattacharya. From 2005 to its closure, Peggy’s company was a principal client of Meredith Potter Arts Management.

Associate Managers and Producers

Peggy Baker Dance Projects hired a second dedicated manager/producer from 2016 onwards, reflecting the growing scale of the company’s operations and productions.

Steven Smits was the company’s Associate Manager from 2019-2022.

Arts Management Interns

Peggy Baker Dance Projects hosted and trained 13 arts management interns. Those individuals marked with a dot simultaneously trained with Volcano Theatre, also managed by Meredith at that time. They each completed a 12-month intensive on-the-job training experience, funded by the invaluable Metcalf Foundation Internships program.
