Vania is a Toronto based artist and a student of many dance genres. She has received a BFA from the School of Performance at Toronto Metropolitan University (formally Ryerson University) with an accompanying minor in marketing. Vania has had the privilege of working with Peggy Baker, Anne Plamondon, Dylan Crossman (Cunningham trust), Louis Laberge- Côte and Vicki St Denys, and with the National Ballet of Canada as assistant choreographer to Siphe November's 'On Solid Ground'. She has trained with the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance performing work by Alex Ketly and Courtney Mazika, Transformation Danse training with Navala Churidi and Shamel Pitts, RUBBERBAND dance training with core company members and B12 training with Francisco Cordova and Luke Murphy. Vania has also performed in commercial settings such as music videos for Majid Jordan and Jessie Reyez, The MMVAS, and fashion films with Cardboard Stage.

As an artist Vania is inspired by architecture, complex rhythms and storytelling, her movement and choreographic style reflect this.

For Peggy Baker Dance Projects: Vania was an RBC Emerging Artist in 2022, during which time she collaborated with Peggy on the creation of a solo, Unfold Attachments.
