Simon Rossiter is a Toronto-based lighting designer who occasionally designs scenery.  Specializing in lighting for dance, he’s had the privilege of collaborating on more than three hundred unique designs with a wide range of companies (including Citadel+Compagnie; Dancemakers; the National Ballet of Canada; CôtéDanse; and Toronto Dance Theatre) and choreographers (including Peggy Baker; Robert Binet; Guillaume Côté; Robert Desrosiers; Christopher House; James Kudelka; Laurence Lemieux; Tedd Robinson; Heidi Strauss; and Jera Wolfe), and is the Director of Design for Fall for Dance North. Simon is the recipient of three Dora Mavor Moore awards and six further nominations for outstanding lighting design, and was twice nominated for the Ontario Arts Council’s Pauline McGibbon Award. Simon also serves as the Business Agent for the Associated Designers of Canada, IATSE Local ADC659.
