Lorraine Aston

Lorraine Aston is a dancer, dance therapist, and mental performance coach. She fell in love with dance when she was young and studied ballet throughout her childhood. After graduating from the School of Toronto Dance Theatre, she worked as a dancer, choreographed for independent theatre, and taught dance to children and adults of all ages. She also supported professional dancers and the dance community through her communications and outreach work for the Dancer Transition Resource Centre and other organizations. Lorraine graduated from The National Centre for Dance Therapy at Les Grands Ballets and earned a master’s degree in applied sport/performance psychology from the University of Ottawa. She has facilitated dance therapy programs at Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre, the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, Hopewell Eating Disorder Support Centre and Mood Disorders Ottawa. Lorraine also provides sports psychology-based coaching and support to athletes, dancers, musicians and other performers.
