Award winning dance artist  Kate Holden  has had the pleasure of  interpreting the works of many esteemed Canadian choreographers,  including Roberto Campanella, Mélanie Demers, Robert Desrosiers, David Earle, Sylvain Émard, Sasha Ivanochko, James Kudelka, Laurence Lemieux, Emily Molnar, Andrea Nann, and Yvonne Ng; with  performances across North America, France, Britain, Holland and  Singapore. She spent five seasons as a company member of  Dancemakers and was  also a dancer with the Danny Grossman Dance Company for two  seasons. In addition to her work as a dancer,  Kate is very active in the Toronto dance community, and is a practitioner of Cranial  Sacral Therapy. With Kate Franklin, she founded firstthingsfirst productions to  commission and produce new contemporary dance works by Canadian choreographers. The company has facilitated the creation and production of 10 new dance works since  2007. Their 2013 production  with a trace  received ten Dora Mavor Moore nominations.

Kate’s repertoire with Peggy Baker Dance Projects includes  Brahms  Waltzes, move, coalesce, Night Garden,  land | body | breath,  locus plot, and Phase Space.
