Shauna Thompson
performer

Shauna Thompson is a multi disciplinary artist, born in Etobicoke and raised in Brampton, Ontario. Her love for performing began as early as eight years old, and was cemented when she was accepted to the Regional Arts Program at Mayfield Secondary School. After high school she went on to attain an undergraduate degree in English literature with a minor in French language studies from the University of Guelph. Although theatre wasn’t her main subject of study during her time in Guelph, she continued to direct, produce, and perform in over 15 productions both on and off campus, and was encouraged by several theatre professors to pursue a career in acting. Shauna then decided to audition for and was accepted into the acting program at the National Theatre School of Canada and completed her studies in 2018. Since graduating, she’s had the pleasure of playing Romeo in Repercussion Theatre’s Romeo and Juliet: Love is Love, she’s done three seasons at the Shaw Festival (Man and Superman; Victory; The Devil’s Disciple etc.), and the role of Maya in the world premier of George F. Walker’s newest play Orphans for the Czar.

For Peggy Baker Dance Projects: Shauna played the role of Joan in Beautiful Renegades.
