Jeff Morris

Jeff Morris is a stage manager in Toronto, working primarily with dance artists.  From 1990 to 1995 he was Production Stage Manager for Toronto Dance Theatre, including the company’s debuts in Berlin, Warsaw, Beijing, Tokyo and at the Joyce Theater, New York. He was Production Stage Manager for Dancers for Life (AIDS Committee of Toronto, 1991 to 1997).  He joined The National Ballet of Canada in 1995 and was stage manager for a wide range of the company’s unique classical and contemporary repertoire, including world premieres by James Kudelka, Crystal Pite, Jean Pierre Perreault, and Matjash Mrozewski.  His freelance work in Toronto’s dance community has included independent artists and companies such as Sasha Ivanochko, Julia Sasso, Nova Bhattacharya, Dancemakers, and Citadel + Compagnie (Jacob’s Pillow, James Kudelka’s alloneword). 

For Peggy Baker Dance Projects: Jeff stage managed a host of the company’s performances including Home, music for piano and solo dancer, and interior with moving figures at the Art Gallery of Ontario.
