Larry Hahn
dancer, set designer and builder

Over a career spanning five decades, Larry Hahn has worked with a variety of choreographers in the US, Canada, and Europe, including Denise Clarke, Bill Douglas, Senta Driver, Margaret Jenkins, Mark Morris, Jose Navas, Gus Solomons Jr., and Robert Wechsler. He was a member of Doug Varone and Dancers from 1988 to 2003 and was honored in 1996 with a New York Dance and Performance Award (Bessie) for his achievements with the company. Since retiring from the company he has continued to perform Varone’s choreography for special projects including  Le Sacre du Printemps for the Metropolitan Opera, Aquila Theater’s Off-Broadway production of  The Invisible Man, and Dense Terrain at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Parallel to his career as a dancer, Larry has developed a business designing and constructing sculptural light forms and furniture. He also works with photography and designs for the stage, endeavours he continues to pursue now living in Ontario, Canada.

For Peggy Baker Dance Projects: Larry designed and constructed the sets for Split Screen Stereophonic, Night Garden, earthling, three story house; and danced in armour, Radio Play, In Thine Eyes, and Home.
