Spencer Hack

Spencer Hack was born in Toledo, Ohio and trained at Canada's National Ballet School. He joined The National Ballet of Canada as a RBC Apprentice in 2014 and was promoted to Principal Dancer in 2023. His repertoire includes Uncle Nikolai in The Nutcracker, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, Allan Gray in A Streetcar Named Desire, Rothbart and Benno in Swan Lake, as well as featured roles in ballets by William Forsythe, Crystal Pite, Alonzo King, David Dawson, James Kudelka, Robert Binet, Alexei Ratmanksy, Wayne McGregor, Alysa Pires, and George Balanchine. Spencer was awarded the RBC Emerging Artist Apprentice Award in 2015 and the Patron Award of Merit in 2017.
