Alex Gilbert
Head of Props

Alex Gilbert is a freelance costume and prop theatre artist in Toronto. Her credits include: Wardrobe Coordinator for Prince Hamlet (Why Not Theatre); Head of Props for Beautiful Renegades (Peggy Baker Dance); Head of Soft Props for Dixon Road (Musical Stage Company). Alex is also the Head of Wardrobe for the Performance Program at Toronto Metropolitan University, where she has taught and mentored students since 2003. She holds a BFA in Theatre Production and an MA in Interdisciplinary Studies, researching the transition from natural to synthetic dyes in late-nineteenth century Ontario.
