Sarah Fregeau

Sarah Fregeau is a Dora Mavor Moore-nominated dancer and movement teacher based between Berlin and Toronto. 

She has danced for Angela Blumberg, the Canadian Opera Company, Sasha Ivanochko, Julia Aplin, Kate Hilliard, Nova Dance, Red Sky Performance, Roger Sinha, TOES For Dance, and Valeria Calam, among others.  From 2009-2014 Sarah created work and toured throughout Europe and Canada with José Navas / Compagnie Flak. 

As a teacher and rehearsal director, she has guest taught for Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre, Danse a la Carte, École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, Ryerson (now Toronto Metropolitan) University, and Quinte Ballet School. 

Sarah taught at Peggy Baker Dance Projects’ annual August Intensive and Dance Educators’ Seminar, as well as staging works from the company’s repertoire for The School of Toronto Dance Theatre, the RBC Emerging Artists Program, and various community outreach projects. 

She has a dedicated teaching practice which includes Pilates, ELDOA, and myofascial stretching. 

For Peggy Baker Dance Projects: Sarah was a member of the core ensemble from 2010-2022, originating roles in Beautiful Renegades, Choreographic Gems, who we are in the dark, Aleatoric Trio No. 1 , land | body | breath, locus plot, The Perfect Word, Split Screen Stereophonic, Night Garden, and Aleatoria.
