Celebrated choreographer Peggy Baker shares the inspiration, methods and motives for a cycle of solos that integrate choreography with spoken word. Five superb performers, each speaking a different language, illuminate the symbolic meaning of the word that is their theme. More languages are spoken in Toronto than in any other city in the world, and composer Debashis Sinha captures a sample of this vast array of voices in an ever-evolving sound track designed expressly for this ongoing choreographic project.
