Julian Anderson-Bowes

Julian Anderson-Bowes is an acoustic and electric bassist, improviser and composer hailing from Toronto, Canada. He collaborates and performs with artists across a range of musical styles from traditional jazz and free improvisation to experimental/indie pop. He regularly composes for and performs music with his project called Moonbliss, as well as actively supporting and collaborating with many Toronto-based artists including Tara Kannangara, Jesse Ryan, James Hill, and Alex Bird. In February of 2022 he released his first full-length album of music for solo double bass, which was recorded at home and was completely self-produced. With dance artist Katherine Semchuk he crafted a musical/sound score her work In Pieces.
