Michael Ross Albert is a Toronto-based playwright whose work has been performed in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Credits include the Toronto Fringe productions of The Huns and Anywhere (both Patron's Pick and Best of Fringe, and The Huns was remounted for a Toronto/UK tour)Tough Jews (Dora Award nomination - Outstanding New Play); The Jazz Singer (Dancap/HGJTC); The Grass is Greenest at the Houston Astrodome (published in "Best American Short Plays, 2015-2016")'; Two Minutes to Midnight (The Assembly Theatre); and When I'm Gone (commissioned by Mountain Movers Theatre Company in Kentucky). Michael has also received commissions from Crow's Theatre and the Stratford FestivalHe has an MFA in Playwriting from the Actors Studio Drama School, and has taught new play development at the University of Waterloo.

For Peggy Baker Dance Projects: Michael was commissioned to write what became the final production for the company, a play about dance in Toronto in the 1970s, Beautiful Renegades.
